Aly Raisman (American gymnast) was both a team member and captain of the 2012's Fierce Five, as well as the team captain for the 2016 Final Five US Women Olympic Gymnastics. At the 2012 Olympics she was awarded gold both on the team floor and the individual competitions. Bronze was taken by the balance bar. In 2012 she was the first American athlete to win the most medals at the Olympics. The gold medal she won at the Olympics in 2016 marked the second consecutive gold medal for the American team. It made her and fellow teammate Gabby - the first Americans - to achieve this achievement. Silver medals were also awarded at the all-around event as well as floor workouts. After the second Olympics the gymnast stopped for three years gymnastics. Also, she has been part of two world championship gold teams. Gymnastics was her first sport since age of two and her favorite sport is floor exercise. Aly is an active member of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in honor of her grandmother who passed away due to cancer. She hopes to build a career out of fashion. She would also like to extend her leotards line and socks. She is writing a book called Fierce which will come out in the coming months.
